Release date of F1 on digital platforms announced

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Joseph Kosinski’s F1, starring Brad Pitt, will stream on Apple TV+ on August 22 (31 Mordad 1404). The film is nearing $600 million at the box office, making it the highest-grossing film of Brad Pitt’s career.

In F1, Brad Pitt plays a Formula One driver named Sonny Hayes, who comes out of retirement to mentor a young racer while becoming his teammate. Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Sarah Niles, Samson Kayo, Kim Bodnia, and Tobias Menzies also star in the film. British Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton serves as both a producer and a cast member.

F1 has surpassed World War Z’s $536 million, despite being an original film, with Pitt headlining at the age of 62. His other top-grossing films include Mr. and Mrs. Smith ($478 million), Ocean’s Eleven ($450 million), and Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood ($377 million).

Variety has reported that following F1’s record-breaking success, Apple has already greenlit a sequel.
